Noise levels
We do our best to minimize all unnecessary noise. However, the following sounds may be noticeable:
– a soft humming noise from the heating system
– water pipes running through the space (e.g. when toilets are flushed or someone is showering)
– sounds from outside, such as children playing or passing cars (30 km/h zone)
Stimming & movement
A selection of stimming tools is available in the (T)raum. We make an effort to provide quiet stimming toys in order to support a calm shared environment. Stimming is welcome and may be used in ways that feel supportive to you, as long as it remains considerate of the group. Movement in the space is always okay. You are welcome to stand up, stretch, change seats, or move in other ways, guided by your own needs and by what is happening around you. Self-regulation and mindful self-care are supported and respected.
Food, blood sugar & medication
Eating and drinking are allowed in all of our rooms. We take regular breaks. In addition, you are always welcome to take extra breaks whenever your body or nervous system needs them.
If you need to store medication that requires refrigeration, a shared refrigerator is available. Please feel free to label your medication or keep it with you if that feels more comfortable for you. Please inform the course facilitator and, if necessary, other participants about any medication that may need to be administered in an emergency.
