What’s your preferred style when it comes to lovemaking: an erotic ritual or spontaneous sex? These two sexual expressions are pure opposites. An erotic ritual is a sexual/sensual experience that is considered, planned, prepared and executed with the same kind of respect and care that one might devote to designing a church service. In an erotic ritual, we invite all aspects of the Self to participate–the spiritual and the sexual. And, when done well, this kind of sexual experience can be a connecting and bonding experience for you and your partner!
There is often confusion around the word “ritual.” One might believe that ritual is simply a banal repetitive activity like brushing your teeth or folding the laundry. There can be a ritual quality to tasks that are regularly part of everyday life but the soul longs for sacred ritual—for that deeply wondrous mystical experience that connects us with the depth and the height of our human nature. As an educator, I have spent much of my professional career teaching people how to create ritual that brings together the sacred and the sexual. Intentionally establishing a sacred space for our erotic expression transforms humdrum sexual interactions into profoundly conscious experiences with deep and lasting relevance.
Ritual can become an integral part of the intimate space that you share with your beloved. Join us to learn how to bring more depth of meaning to your sexual expression.
